BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Bloomsburg athletics officially opens the 2024-25 season on Thursday, September 5 and will host a Blackout Game for the three home games taking place in the Pettit Athletic Complex.
Fans are encouraged to wear black for every Bloomsburg home game on September 5.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Huskies open their season against Goldey-Beacom on Thursday, September 5 at 1:00 pm at Steph Pettit Stadium. It is the fourth-straight year Bloomsburg and Goldey-Beacom square-off in the season opener. The Huskies hold a 4-0-1 advantage in the all-time series against the Lightning and are 2-0 at home.
Last year, Bloomsburg went 8-6-5 on the year and made its eighth-straight appearance in the PSAC Tournament.

MEN'S SOCCER
The Huskies open the 2024 season against Felician on September 5 at Steph Pettit Stadium. The match is set for 3:30 pm. The Huskies are coming off one of their best campaigns in program history after going 11-4-5 on the year and 7-2-3 in conference play. Bloomsburg advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
The Huskies are 2-1 all-time against Felician and 1-0 against the Golden Falcons at home. The last time the two teams squared off, Felician came away with a 1-0 win in Rutherford, N.J. on September 10, 2022.

FOOTBALL
The Bloomsburg football team opens the 2024 season at home against Fairmont State on Thursday, September 5 under the lights at Redman Stadium. Kick off is set for 6:00 pm.
The Huskies and the Fighting Falcons are squaring off for the second-straight season and just the third time in program history. Last year, Fairmont State edged out Bloomsburg 34-30 in Fairmont, W. Va. while Bloomsburg won the first meeting between the two schools 33-0 on September 3, 2005. While it is the season-opener for Bloomsburg, Fairmont will have a game under its belt as the Falcons open the season on "Week 0" against Seton Hill on August 29.
