ERIE, Pa. – The Bloomsburg Huskies finished 23^rd at the Bobby Kauffman Open with 10 team points, Saturday.
 
Leo Hess III (Mansfield, Ohio/Mansfield) led the way for the Huskies as he went 2-2 on the day with a pair of win in his first two matches in the 165-pound bracket. Hess defeated Caleb Butterfield from Gannon 9-2 to open the day before picking up a 4-1 decision over Kevin McBride of Rider. Max Kirby handed Hess his first loss with a 15-2 MD in the third round. Hess ended the day with a 13-3 MD loss to Sean Coughlin from George Mason.
 
In the 197-pound bracket, Mason Rebuck (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) fell to Eli Makel of Edinboro 4-0. Rebuck kept his day alive with his second pin of the season as he took down Colin Pedersen of George Mason at 3:59. Rebuck fell to Rune Lawrence of WVU with a pin at 0:59 to end his day.
 
Tyler McCatharn (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) went 1-2 on the day in the heavy weight bracket. After getting pinned at 1:08 by Aden Roe of Edinboro to open the day, McCatharn got his fastest pin of the year to continue his day. McCatharn pinned William Hotaling of Buffalo at 3:22. The heavyweight fell to Mekhi Bradley of Cleveland State, 3-1, to end his day.
 
 The Huskies return to action on January 18 when they host Hofstra at Nelson Field House for a 7:00 p.m. match.

Head coach John Stutzman has announced the Bloomsburg wrestling Alumni Day at the Nelson Field House for Saturday, February 8, when the Huskies square off against Rider University. Action gets underway at 2:00 pm.

Join Bloomsburg Wrestling at Nelson Field House for Wrestling Alumni Night and watch the Huskies take on Rider University. After the 5th match we will take a break to honor all Huskies Wrestling alumni in attendance. Each pre-registered alumni and their guest will receive complimentary admission to the match that afternoon. There will also be a social at the Wagon Shed following the match sponsored by the Husky Elite Wrestling Club.
