BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Freshman
Declan Clancy (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) was the first 100-yard rusher for the Huskies in over a year, though Bloomsburg fell to visiting Lock Haven, 38-17, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies drop to 1-4 on the year and 0-2 in PSAC East play while the Bald Eagles improve to 2-3 and 1-1 in conference action.

Clancy is hitting his stride as a Husky as he ran for 113 yards on 23 carries and did not lose a yard on the ground. He's the first Husky to run for over 100 yards since
Jake Williams (Myerstown, Pa./ELCO) picked up 141 yards on 14 attempts against Seton Hill on September 14, 2024. Clancy now has 306 yards rushing 72 carries this season and is 10
th in the PSAC averaging 61.2 yards per game and 4.3 yards per carry.
KJ Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) had a strong run game as well with 43 yards on six carries.

Riley went 12-for-21 with two touchdown passes and two interceptions for 182 yards to push his career passing yard total to 5,437 with 39 career touchdown passes. Riley's top-target today was
Gabe Brower (Alexandria, Pa./Juniata Valley) who had four catchers for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Justin Wolfe (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg Area) had four catches for 60 yards and touchdown while
Paul Wojciechowski (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) had one catch for 25 yards.
Jack Landis (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) had a pair of catches for 16 yards and
Mike Conway (Fox Chase, Pa./Father Judge) made a catch for 10 yards.

Defensively, freshman
Tyler Frey (York, Pa./Central York) stepped in and had a career day with 13 total tackles, including seven solo stops.
Izzy Dobbins (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) had a season-best 11 tackles and Nazhier Booker finished the day with 11 tackles, including 3.0 TFL (9 yards) and a forced fumble. McKenzie Harrard got pressure to the quarterback with the game's only sack that pushed Lock Haven back 10 yards and had one quarterback hurry.
Ervin Mitchell (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) finished the day with a team-best two pass breakups while Frey and
Zhamir Rowan (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) each had one.

The Huskies struck first as
Aaron Johnson (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) connected on his first career field goal, a 31-yard attempt to cap a 13-play, 72 yard scoring drive for the Huskies to open the game. The Bald Eagles answered right back with a four-play, 79-yard touchdown drive to take a 6-3 lead after the extra point went just wide. The lead did not last for Lock Haven as Bloomsburg put together an eight-play 71-yard scoring drive that ended with Brower powering his way into the endzone with a 16-yard touchdown catch. Johnson connected on the extra point to give the Huskies a 10-6 lead with 2:06 to play in the first.
The Bald Eagles took the lead for good as Jackson Ostrowsky connected with Justin Popovich for a four-yard touchdown pass to give Lock Haven a 14-10 lead with 10:02 to play in the second quarter. After a punt set up a short field for Lock Haven, the Bald Eagles pushed their lead to 21-10 with 5:25 to play before halftime thanks to a 32-yard touchdown catch by Popovich.

The Huskies answered with a 15-play, 75 yard touchdown drive to cut the lead to 21-17 at half time after a three-yard catch by Wolfe in the endzone.

It was all Lock Haven in the second half as the Bald Eagles out-scored Bloomsburg 17-0 in the final 30 minutes thanks to a pair of interceptions that set up short fields for Lock Haven that results in a touchdown and a field goal. The Bald Eagles put the final touches on the scoring with a five-yard touchdown pass with 6:07 to play in the fourth.

The Huskies return to action next Saturday as they head to East Stroudsburg for a 6:05 p.m. kickoff against the Warriors.
