ERIE, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's soccer team fell 3-2 in double overtime to Millersville in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships on Friday night at McConnell Family Field.

Bloomsburg (10-3-6) withstood several chances from Millersville (11-3-4) throughout the contest, with
Peter Punchello (Jamison, Pa./William Penn Charter) notching a career-high eight saves in the bout.

The Marauders tested the Huskies early and often to start the game, recording five shots and forcing Punchello to make three saves in the first 11 minutes of the game.
Owen Hollobaugh (State College, Pa./State College) registered the first shot of the game for Bloomsburg, sending a header on net from in front of the keeper.

Millersville got on the board in the 12th minute, as Zander Leik launched a ball into the middle, finding the foot of Matias Schmidt who snuck the bouncing volley inside the left post.

The 24th minute saw an opportunity to level the score present itself for the Huskies when a foul on
Connor Fiadino (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) in the box awarded the maroon and goal a penalty kick.
Sam Blumberger (Colchester, Conn./Bacon Academy) stepped to the spot for Bloomsburg and got the equalizer past the diving goalkeeper to the game at 1-1.

Bloomsburg came out of halftime with momentum, firing three shots in the opening ten minutes. The momentum then shifted back to the Marauders as Leik made a run at the net and chipped the ball past a challenging Punchello to retake the lead.

After withstanding the Millersville offense for the remainder of the second half, a late throw-in gave Bloomsburg a chance to force overtime.
Micah Diggs (Groton, Conn./Fitch) launched the throw into the box and after a scramble in front, the ball found its way to
Nick Guzak (Washington Township, N.J./Washington Township). The freshman's first collegiate goal leveled the score at 2-2, keeping the Huskies alive and forcing overtime.

The maroon and gold pressured the Marauders in the first overtime, outshooting the top-seed in the eastern division 4-1.

With under a minute to play, Millersville's Louis Wright swung a through ball to Leik, burying the game-winner with just 24 seconds to pay.

The Huskies now await a potentially bid to the NCAA Championship tournament. Bloomsburg currently sits in 11th in the NCAA Atlantic Region and will find out its fate during the selection show on Monday, November 18.
