BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg volleyball team capped off the 2025 season in dramatic fashion, defeating Millersville on Senior Day in five sets in a thrilling Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Bloomsburg (10-18, 2-12 PSAC East) saw three players finish with at least 12 kills, with
Marlee Johnson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) notching a match-high 16. The senior also tallied 22 digs in the match.
Katie Kuehl (Aston, Pa./Archmere Academy (Del.)) registered 16 kills and two blocks.

Sophie Wales (Port Matilda, Pa./State College) finished just shy of breaking a breaking Liz Bopp's single-game attack percentage record (.579), recording 12 kills and zero errors on 21 attack attempts to end with a .571 percentage on the day.
Lydia Worthing (Tyrone, Pa./Bellwood Antis) notched seven kills while posting three solo blocks and three block assists.

Millersville (6-22, 1-13) got on the board first as Becca Hartranft opened the match with an ace. The two sides then traded points to a 4-3 Marauders lead before the visitors pulled ahead 7-3 on a short three-point run. Down 11-7 later in the set, went on an 8-1 run with kills from Worthing, Kuehl and Johnson to take a 14-12 lead. Millersville responded back with a 5-1 run of its own to regain the lead. Sasha Moody (Abington, PA/Abington Senior) and
Alynna Haggadone (Broomfield, Colo./Legacy) each recorded a kill to give Bloomsburg a 26-24 set win.

The second set saw the two sides locked in step with each other for much if the early goings before a 5-1 runs for the maroon and gold gave them an 11-9 lead. Millersville stayed within striking distance in the set, not allowing a lead larger than three points.
Marlee Johnson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) would give the Huskies a two-set lead on a kill to close out the set 25-23. Bloomsburg posted a team attack percentage of .300 in the set, notching 18 kills and six errors.

Millersville grabbed the momentum in the third, surging ahead to a 14-4 lead. A four-point run with kills from
Allison Saalfrank (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge), Wales and Johnson allowed to Huskies to close the gap slightly. After a short back-and-forth Bloomsburg took the lead on a 9-1 run. The maroon and gold were unable to hold onto the lead as they dropped the third set, 25-22.

The Marauders took control again in the fourth, taking a 7-3 lead to start the frame. The Huskies were unable to regain the lead at any point in set as the visitors capitalized on several short runs to take the set 25-16 and force a fifth set.

In front of an energized crowd, Bloomsburg quickly scored three straights to give them the lead before another short run pushed the score to 7-3. With the score later sitting at 10-6, Saalfrank notched back-to-back aces to give Bloomsburg a 13-7 lead. Â The Huskies ended the set in dramatic fashion as Worthing and Haggadone combined for a block to pick up the 15-8 win in the fifth set.

The four Bloomsburg senior each end their careers with their name cemented in the history books as
Allison Saalfrank (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) ends her career as the Huskies' all-time leader in aces with 146.
Marlee Johnson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) holds the Huskies record for the most kills in a single-season (329) and in a career (841).
Hannah Robson's (Charlotte, N.C./Arborbrook) 34 digs in the final game moves her into second all-time in digs (837) while
Erin Clark (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert) is fourth all-time in assists with 600. Â
