MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Bloomsburg baseball team dropped both legs of its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) doubleheader to nationally-ranked Millersville at Cooper Park on Thursday afternoon.

Corey Daniels (Forest City, Pa./Forest City) and
Brady Ebbert (Etters, Pa./Red Land) each posted three hits on the day while Bloomsburg (10-18, 1-9 PSAC East) notched a combined 14 hits in the twin bill.

Game One – Millersville 6, Bloomsburg 2

No. 16/14 Millersville (23-4, 9-1) got on the board first, driving in a pair of runs in the bottom of the first before tacking on another run in the second on a sacrifice bunt.

The Marauders doubled its lead to 6-0 in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly and a two-RBI single.

Bloomsburg broke the shutout in the top of the fifth as Ebbert drove a double into left centerfield, scoring
Greg Cristino (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) on the play. An RBI-double from
Mike Miller (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) in the sixth scored Daniels as the Huskies went on to fall, 6-2, in the opening game.

Landon Lorson (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) was nailed with the loss in game one, allowing six runs and seven hits in 4.2 innings pitched.
Scott Gilbert (Scranton, Pa./Abington Heights) pitched 1.1 innings of relief, retiring four of five batters faced while allowing just one walk.

Game Two – Millersville 8, Bloomsburg 4

With the bases loaded in the top of the fifth for Bloomsburg, Ebbert sent a two-RBI single to left field, scoring Daniels and
Drew Balestrini (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy).

Millersville cut the lead in half with a single up the middle in the second innings.

The third inning saw
Jacob Reifer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia Area) lay a bunt down the third base line to bring Cristino in for his second run of the day.

The Marauders scored four runs in the bottom of the third to take a 5-3 lead over the Huskies.

Bloomsburg pulled within one in the fifth on a single from
Jeremy Stine (Springfield, Va./West Springfield).

A fifth inning home run and a two-RBI single in the sixth moved Millersville's lead to 8-4 en route to victory.

Brandon Wozniak (Nanticoke, Pa./Nanticoke Area) allowed five earned runs and eight hits in his second career starts.
Nolan Walker (North Wales, Pa./North Wales) pitched one inning of relief and allowed two runs and one hit.

Bloomsburg hosts Millersville on Friday, April 4 for the series finale with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Danny Litwhiler Field.
