EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -
Genna Bush (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) scores last-minute goal to defeat the #2 East Stroudsburg 2-1.
The Huskies (10-3, 3-2 PSAC) defeat the formerly undefeated team in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Stroudsburg with a pair of goals, one from
Jordan Bond (Dallas, Pa./Dallas) and one from Bush.
Alexandra Bliss (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area) assisted the goal from Bond while
Lexy Freed (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) assisted Bush's go-ahead goal late in the game.
Molly Bross (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) recorded seven saves on the day as well.
All of the scoring came from the second half where Bliss would find Bond for the first goal of the game. Bond now has scored four goals on the season which is a new career high for her. The Huskies went into the final period up 1-0.
The Warriors fought back with a goal of their own to tie the game in the fourth period 1-1. Then, with just over one minute left in the game, Freed helps Bush find the net to give the Huskies the win and propel themselves to 3-2 in the conference. Bush has now earned her eighth goal of the season and leads Bloomsburg in the category.
The Warriors got 19 shots off and the Huskies managed to gain the victory despite the shot output from East Stroudsburg.
