SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. – The Bloomsburg men's basketball team closed out the 2025-26 season in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup with Shepherd, falling 87-44 inside the Butcher Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon.

Naeem Purnell-Northern (Darby, Pa./Penn Wood) finished the night as the leading scoring for Bloomsburg (7-21, 4-17 PSAC) with ten points.
Gabe Springer (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Wallenpaupack) and
Ries Naugle (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) each tallied eight points. Springer went 4-for-9 while Naugle went 3-for-9 with a pair of threes. As a team, Bloomsburg shot 27.4 percent (17-for-62) from the floor.

Shepherd (19-9, 16-6) got on the board first as Asher Rudolph sank a three pointer 32 seconds in. The Huskies responded immediately as it took just 17 seconds for Naugle to level the score with a three of his own. A triple from Marcus Banks put the Rams back up by three once more. From there, the home team continued to slowly grow its lead throughout the half, taking a 46-29 lead at half time. Shepherd shot 56.7 percent (17-for-30) in the first half while draining seven three-pointers.

After opening the second half with layup from
Courtney Davis II (Gainesville, Va./Patriot), the maroon and gold were held scoreless for over eight minutes. The 27-0 Shepherd run want eventually ended by Springer at the 11:12 mark to make it 73-33. The Rams kept the Huskies at bay, taking the contest 87-44.

Gabe Springer (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Wallenpaupack) finished his Bloomsburg career with 126 points, 85 rebounds, 21 blocks and seven steals. Across his time in the PSAC, the Wilkes-Barre native tallied 311 points, 231 rebounds, 50 blocks and 20 steals.

Naeem Purnell-Northern (Darby, Pa./Penn Wood) has registered 83 points, 27 rebounds, 11 steals and four blocks across 37 career games.
Camden Glass (Beaver Falls, Pa./Beaver Falls) finished his career with 55 points, 90 rebounds and 24 blocks in 44 total contests with the Huskies.
