WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on the road Monday afternoon, defeating West Chester, 6-1, in PSAC action to improve to 7-5 overall.

Bloomsburg seized early momentum by sweeping all three doubles matches to secure the opening point. At No. 1,
Denis Dementev (Saint-Petersburg, Russia/Russian Gymnasium at the State Russian Museum) and
Sergio Dilan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Cedin) set the tone with a decisive 6-0 victory. The Huskies followed with a 6-3 win at No. 2 from
Jack Seaborn (Cambridge, England/The Leys School) and
Jaime Soria (Pamplona, Spain/Liceo Monjardin) before
Alejandro Higuera (Ciudad Obregon, Mexico/Colegio Weston) and
Landon Wall (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca High School) completed the sweep with a 6-4 decision at No. 3.

In singles play, Bloomsburg continued to control the match, winning five of six flights.
West Chester picked up its lone point at No. 4 singles, where Thomaz Joly defeated Soria in straight sets. The Golden Rams tied the match at 1-1.

Dementev gave the Huskies a 2-1 lead at No. 1 singles with a commanding 6-1, 6-1 win, while Higuera was equally dominant at No. 2, rolling to a 6-0, 6-1 victory for the 3-1 lead.

Dilan rebounded after dropping the opening set to win 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 to seal the match win and give the Huskies a 4-1 lead.

Seaborn added another point at No. 3, earning a straight-set win, 7-5, 6-4, in a competitive match, while Wall closed out the match at No. 6 with a three-set victory, 7-6, 1-6, 6-4.
Bloomsburg's depth proved to be the difference, as the Huskies secured the doubles point and controlled the majority of singles play to earn the conference win.

The Huskies return to action this weekend in the final two PSAC matches as Bloomsburg hosts Jefferson on Friday and Chestnut Hill on Saturday. The final matches of the season will determine tournament qualifiers and seeding.
