BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg Scholar-Athlete recognition is an opportunity to celebrate the academic success of student-athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.25 or higher during the past two semesters or who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25.
This year, 205 student-athletes meet that criterion. Additionally, 115 freshmen or transfer student-athletes have posted a 3.25 grade point average or higher in their first semester at Bloomsburg, thus showing promise to become future scholar- athletes.
Also honored today are the 123 faculty members – identified by our student-athletes – as influential to their academic endeavors and who have contributed to their overall academic well-being.
The coaches and student-athletes would like to thank all the faculty present for their support and encouragement throughout the academic year, and for some student-athletes, their entire Bloomsburg career. The proper balance of academics and athletics is the primary goal of the Bloomsburg Athletics program.
The NCAA and Bloomsburg are committed to the best interests of our student-athletes. To that end, we strive to provide a quality athletic experience while supporting each student-athlete's pursuit of higher education.
