EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Bloomsburg softball team (15-7, 6-4 PSAC) was bested by the East Stroudsburg Warriors (18-12, 6-6 PSAC) in their doubleheader.
Game one - Bloomsburg 0, East Stroudsburg 2
The Huskies struggled to create some offense by only achieving two hits, a double from
Taylor Kranzley (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) and a single from
Jenna Kaufman (Audubon, Pa./Methacton). Kranzley's double came in the top of the first inning, but she could not find her way home.
Sarah Yamrick (Fort Myers, Fla./Bishop Verot) struck out five Warriors in just her third loss of the season.
Game two - Bloomsburg 0, East Stroudsburg 3
Bloomsburg had two hits in this game as well coming from a bunt from Yamrick and a single from
Reagan Wiest (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy). The Warriors had to earn it when it came to getting the Huskies out as they only had three strikeouts. The Huskies will look to move on and continue their successful season.
On the Horizon:
Bloomsburg will face the West Chester Golden Rams at Jan M. Hutchinson Field on April 4 in a doubleheader. Game one will now start at 11 a.m. after a time change this afternoon.
