GREENWOOD, Ind. – Five members of the Bloomsburg softball team were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District ® honorees on Tuesday. The five Bloomsburg selections include sophomore
Allie Wenrich (Dauphin, Pa./Central Dauphin), junior
Josie Straigis (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) and seniors
Taylor Kranzley (Northampton, Pa./Northampton),
Taylor Welsh (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) and
Reagan Wiest (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy).
Taylor Kranzley (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) is a criminal justice major with a 3.86 GPA. Kranzley batted .344 on the season while posting a team-leading 55 hits and 38 runs while starting all 46 contests for the Huskies. The senior nabbed her first-career All-PSAC selection this year, claiming first team recognition.
Josie Straigis (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) is a junior business administration major who holds a 3.78 GPA at Bloomsburg. The Greensburg native tallied 46 hits, 32 RBIs and a career-high 10 home runs while batting .329 on the year. Straigis also posted seven wins on the mound this season while throwing 10 complete games a struck out 64 batters.
Taylor Welsh (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) is a senior nursing major with a 3.74 GPA. Welsh notched 20 hits and 15 runs on the year while batting .235 in 40 games this season.
Allie Wenrich (Dauphin, Pa./Central Dauphin) is a sophomore exercise science major who holds a 3.86 GPA at Bloomsburg. The Dauphin native collected All-PSAC East Second team honors while finishing second in the PSAC in home runs with 15. Wenrich posted 44 hits, 43 RBIs and a .336 batting average in her sophomore campaign.
Reagan Wiest (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) is a special/early childhood education major with a 3.92 GPA. Wiest played and started in all but one contest behind the plate for the Huskies, batting .317 on the season with 40 hits and 26 RBIs. The Sunbury native caught seven battersw stealing this year.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
