MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Bloomsburg field hockey team defeated Saint Anselm 2-0 to propel themselves 2-0 on the season.
The first period was all about
Molly Bross (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) who had three saves to start out the game. The Bloomsburg defense locked up the Hawks in the first period as well by blocking the two shots that Bross did not save.Â
The second period featured
Raegan Iasiello (Northampton, Pa./Northampton)Â recording her first goal of the season within the first minute. The Huskies defense continued their dominance by blocking multiple shots to keep the 1-0 lead heading into the third period.
Genna Bush (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) then started the third period with her third goal of the season, bolstering the Huskies' lead to 2-0.
Alli Bucher (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) was in for the assist.Â
In the final period, the Huskies offense was in possession for almost the entire period, not allowing any sort of momentum for the Hawks. The Huskies only allowed one shot in the final period while Bross and Bloomsburg's defense still have yet to allow a single goal. The game ended with the Huskies on top 2-0.
