Joanne McComb Award—Underclass Female Athlete of the Year
Joanne McComb served Bloomsburg in numerous capacities for 26 years before retiring in 1986. She was one of the leaders in the formation of women’s varsity athletics at the school. McComb was named the school’s first women’s basketball coach in 1970, guiding the team for six years, and also serving as the associate director of athletics for nine years. McComb played professional baseball in 1950 in the All-American Women’s Professional Baseball League.
