Bloomsburg Athletics

Brian Zysset enters his third year as an assistant for the Huskies.  Under head coach Mike Collins, Zysset is responsible for outfield defense and assists Collins with offense. Along with coaching first base, Coach ‘Zig’ shares recruiting responsibilities.  

Prior to Bloomsburg, Coach Zig served as the head varsity baseball coach at Lewisburg Area High School, where he led the Green Dragons to multiple playoff appearances.  In 2018, Zysset’s squad shut out their opponents 25-0 in the district tournament, earning the school’s first district title since 2000.

Zysset played division-II baseball at Lock Haven University under Paul “Smokey” Stover.  He graduated with a bachelor’s of science and master’s of education.  Zysset resides in Columbia County with his wife and daughter.  He teaches health and physical education at Central Columbia High School.
