Rob Hardy

Rob Hardy begins his first season on the Bloomsburg University baseball coaching staff as he will serve as a graduate assistant for the Huskies.

Hardy was instrumental in a tremendous 2018 season, with the Huskies going to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1995. Hardy coached All-PSAC East selection Ashton Raines and also D2CCA All-Atlantic Region selection Trey Hinkle.

Prior to coming to Bloomsburg, Hardy spent a year as a student assistant coach at Binghamton University with an emphasis on pitching. He helped the Bearcats' pitching staff to a 30-13 record as well as being among the national leaders in earned run average (ERA), hits per game, and walks and hits per inning pitched (WHIP).

Before starting his coaching career, Hardy played two seasons for Binghamton University where, during his senior campaign of 2016, helped lead the Bearcats to a conference championship and a regional bid at Texas A&M.  During that same year, Hardy was voted unanimously as a First Team All-Conference selection.

Hardy’s freshman and sophomore seasons were spent at Herkimer County Community College. During his sophomore campaign, Hardy played a crucial role in helping Herkimer advance to the NJCAA World Series and a third-place finish. In both seasons of his seasons at Herkimer, the baseball team was ranked in the top 10 getting as high as the number two team in the country.

In the summer of 2017, Hardy was the pitching coach for the Adirondack Trail Blazers in the Perfect Game Collegiate League - one of the nation’s top collegiate summer leagues.

During his high school career, he was a two-time All-League selection, earned League Player of the Year honors, was an All-Mohawk Valley selection, and was an All-State honoree.
