Ambreelinne Ortman joins the Bloomsburg University women's basketball staff for the 2016-17 season as a volunteer assistant.

Ortman coached for one season at Washington College (Md.) before returning to school for her master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University, which she received with honors in May of 2016.

A native of Millville, Pa., Ortman currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director at Central Columbia High School and has been in that role since August of 2014. She was the volunteer assistant coach at Centreal Columbia from 2014 to 2016 and helped coach the team win the District IV Championship in 2015.

Ortman graduated from Millville High School in 2009 where she left as the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder for both boys’ and girls’ basketball. She is still the all-time leading scorer for girls’ basketball with 1,777 points and leading rebounder for both girls’ and boys’ with 1,112 rebounds. She was a Third Team All-State selection as a junior and was a First Team All-State honoree her senior year.

After graduating high school, Ortman went on to compete at West Chester University from 2009 to 2013. She ended her junior year ranked third in the PSAC in three-point field goal percentage. She ended her career with the Golden Rams ranked third in program history in three-point field goal percentage (37%).

During her senior year, Ortman was offered a spot at the annual NCAA “So You Want to be a Coach” Conference at the NCAA Women’s Final Four in New Orleans in 2013. She graduated from West Chester with honors in May of 2013.
