Chuck Laudermilch was the first coach in the history of Bloomsburg University women’s soccer. He posted a record of 104-35-8 in eight years before retiring in 1997.
Under his leadership the Huskies were three-time PSAC finalists winning the first title in school history in 1996. His 1996 unit also ranked as high as third during the season—the team’s highest ranking ever—and entered the NCAA Divisions II Championships for the first time in school history reaching the quarterfinals.
Laudermilch also guided the Huskies to two ECAC playoff appearances, the first coming in just the third year of the program, with his 1993 squad winning the ECAC title.
Laudermilch also earned Northeast Region Coach of the Year honors twice in his career.
In his eight seasons, Laudermilch never experienced a losing campaign. The initial squad finished 7-7-1 and consistently progressed to an 18-game winner in 1996, the team’s winningest campaign.
The team has also consistently risen in the national polls, ranking 14th in 1992, 11th in 1993, seventh in 1994, and fifth in 1995, before reaching the third spot in 1996
Laudermilch coached nine All-Americans and 20 Northeast Regional All-Star selections.
He held an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and was on the Board of Directors of the NSCAA and was the head coach for the Keystone State Games Open Women’s Region II for seven years and guest coach at numerous camps.
Laudermilch also served as a professor in the Department of Sociology and Social Welfare at Bloomsburg.
