Alex Wheatley joins the Huskies' coaching staff in 2016-17 as a volunteer assistant for the men's and women's swimming programs. She will work with the backstrokers, assist with community outreach efforts, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Wheatley was a four-year standout performer for the Huskies from 2013 to 2016. She was a five-time PSAC champion during her career, most recently winning the 100 backstroke in 2016. She was also part of the 2015 and 2016 championship 200 and 400 medley relays. Wheatley was named the 2016 BU Women’s Senior Athlete of the Year and received both the team’s Gwen Cressman Performance Award and the Captain’s Award.
