Graduate Assistant Coach Brian Tucker was a four-year varsity starter for the Dallastown Area High School Wildcats in York County Pennsylvania and wrestled for two years at The Ohio State University before transferring over to the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Physical Activity.
Tucker completed an internship as a strength and conditioning coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates; he is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Tucker has worked as a Strength Coach with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for the past three years where he has trained youth, high school, collegiate and professional athletes, including members of the National Hockey League’s Pittsburgh Penguins, and several National Football League teams, such as the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.
Tucker is currently enrolled in the graduate studies program at Bloomsburg University to obtain his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science.
His duties with the Bloomsburg wrestling team include specialization as a strength coach and working with the team’s upper weight classes.
While in Pittsburgh, Tucker also spent time recruiting for Penn State-New Kensington and coaching with the Iron Horse Wrestling Club. There, he coached alongside Jeff Breese and Bryan Stout where he
helped club wrestlers such as 2010 145 lb. PIAA AA State Champion Nick Carr and PIAA AAA fifth-place medalist Tyler Wilps along with numerous other state qualifiers and junior state qualifiers.
