Brayden Horton joined the Bloomsburg University baseball staff after completing an accomplished four-year NCAA Division I playing career at Liberty University, Oklahoma, and Coastal Carolina.
A native of Sayre, Pennsylvania, Horton was a standout at Sayre Area High School, earning two-time Northern Tier League Player of the Year, two-time Bradford County Player of the Year and two-time Morning Times Player of the Year honors. He was also ranked among the Perfect Game/Rawlings Top 500 recruits in the 2022 class.
Horton made an immediate impact at Liberty as a freshman, hitting .341 with a .471 OBP, six home runs and 40 RBI while earning ASUN All-Freshman Team and Third Team All-Conference honors. He followed with an 11-home-run sophomore season before continuing his career at Oklahoma and Coastal Carolina.
Horton brings valuable experience from competing at three Division I programs and will use that experience to help develop Huskies hitters while contributing to the Huskies’ recruiting efforts.
Horton also works with Baseball U PA Susquehanna Valley, assisting with the organization’s 11U and 12U teams.
The Horton family also has a connection to Bloomsburg, as his father, Jeremy, was a football student-athlete at Bloomsburg University
