Faith Diffenbacher

Faith Diffenbacher joins the women's soccer coaching staff beginning with the 2025 season.

Diffenbacher's arrival helped the Bloomsburg see a notable increase in production during the 2025 season. The Huskies went 22 goals in 2024 to 30 the following season, with an increase in team assists by 10 from 18 to 28. Both offensive totals were the best for the Bloomsburg women's soccer team since the 2022 season. Diffenbacher helped the Huskies to more firsts since the 2022 campaign, with the team making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since that season. In addition, Diffenbacher was instrumental in helping Bloomsburg qualify for its 10th consecutive PSAC Tournament, the longest such stretch in program history. With the aid of Diffenbacher, eight different Huskies saw increases in their year-to-year goal contributions. One such development was the emergence of junior defender Daryn Savage. The central defender finished the season as the team leader with five goals, tacking on one assist for a career-best 11 points. Diffenbacher helped coach two All-PSAC East selections in 2025, with senior goalkeeper Samantha Merklin and junior forward Anika Krasnai both earning second-team honors. Merklin additionally received second-team D2CCA All-Atlantic Region recognition.

A former standout defender at Slippery Rock University, Diffenbacher brings a high level of collegiate playing experience and defensive expertise to the coaching staff. A three-time All-PSAC West selection and CSC Academic All-District honoree, she started 65 career games and helped anchor a Rock defense that recorded 25 shutouts during her four-year career. Known for her consistency and leadership on the field, Diffenbacher also contributed offensively with six career goals and three assists for 15 points, including a game-winning goal in both the 2021 and 2023 seasons.

Off the field, she excelled academically as a multi-year PSAC Scholar-Athlete.

Prior to SRU, she earned All-Ohio and All-Region honors at Huron High School and won club championships with Cleveland Futbol Club and Internationals SC.
