Riley joined the Bloomsburg football coaching staff in 2026 as the Huskies' quarterbacks coach following a standout four-year playing career at Bloomsburg.
A native of Danville, Pennsylvania, Riley finished his career as one of the most productive quarterbacks in program history. He ranks fifth all-time at Bloomsburg with 6,891 career passing yards and fourth with 56 career touchdown passes. His .582 career completion percentage (492-for-844) ranks first in program history.
Riley capped his playing career with a career-best season in 2025, earning Second Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East honors at quarterback. He started all 11 games and completed 188-of-319 passes for 2,568 yards and 26 touchdowns. His 2,568 passing yards rank third on Bloomsburg's single-season list, while his 26 touchdown passes are tied for the most in a season in program history.
A dual-threat quarterback throughout his career, Riley added 461 rushing yards and seven touchdowns during his senior campaign. He threw at least one touchdown pass in every game in 2025 and recorded multiple touchdown passes in 10 of 11 contests. Riley threw four touchdowns against East Stroudsburg and West Chester and finished with a career-high 334 passing yards against Kutztown. He closed his collegiate career by accounting for four touchdowns in Bloomsburg's season-ending victory over Slippery Rock, including the game-winning rushing touchdown in overtime.
Riley emerged as the Huskies' starting quarterback during the 2024 season and finished the year with 2,034 passing yards and 17 touchdowns while adding 304 rushing yards and four scores. He also handled punting and place-kicking duties for Bloomsburg, averaging 37.5 yards on 47 punts while converting field goals and extra points.
Over four seasons with the Maroon and Gold, Riley appeared in 43 games and developed extensive experience within the Bloomsburg offensive system. In addition to his 6,891 passing yards and 56 touchdown passes, Riley contributed more than 1,000 career rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.
Riley also distinguished himself academically during his playing career. A business management major, he was a two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection and a three-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete. He earned PSAC Academic All-Conference recognition following the 2025 season.
Riley graduated from Danville Area High School and is a native of Danville, Pennsylvania.
