Ondrea Talanca joined the Bloomsburg athletic training staff in 2023 and currently serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and point athletic trainer for men's soccer, men's and women's golf, women's basketball, and women's lacrosse. In this role, she oversees injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management for student-athletes while working closely with coaches, physicians, and healthcare professionals to support athlete health and performance.
Before joining Bloomsburg, Talanca served as an outsourced athletic trainer for Geisinger at Berwick Area High School. Prior to her work with Geisinger, she was employed as a Certified Early Intervention Specialist with ATI Physical Therapy. Her professional experience also includes athletic training positions at Lafayette College and Long Island University, where she provided comprehensive care for Division I collegiate student-athletes.
Talanca earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from King's College in 2018 and her Master of Science from East Stroudsburg University in 2019. While earning her master’s degree in Athletic Training Talanca worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for East Stroudsburg University Football team and track and field team.
Outside of athletics and Sports medicine, Talanca enjoys spending time with her husband, Trace and their son Trace Jr ‘TJ’.
