Patrick Ramsdale was named the Athletic Communications & Marketing Coordinator in August of 2023.
Ramsdale joined the Huskies’ staff after serving a year as a sports information graduate assistant at Shippensburg University. With the Raiders, he operated as the primary contact for men’s soccer, men’s basketball, and baseball while serving as a secondary contact for all other varsity sports.
Ramsdale’s responsibilities included statistics, social media, videography and broadcasting. He spent two years as work study employee during his time as an undergraduate.
During his time as an undergraduate, Ramsdale was a key member of the Shippensburg University Television (SUTV), Shippensburg’s student-run television station. He held several leadership positions such as General Manager, Sports Director and Live Events Producer, while also serving as an anchor.
Ramsdale has been nominated for three, and won two Student Production Award Crystals for his work in SUTV’s sports broadcasts. The award is a collegiate version of an Emmy and is voted on by the National Academy of Television Arts and Science Mid-Atlantic Chapter. He served as the director of SUTV’s award-winning coverage of Shippensburg Football versus West Chester.
An avid ice hockey fan, Ramsdale has worked as a freelance broadcaster for several teams and tournaments including the AAU College Hockey National Championships, the Hershey Cubs, and the USPHL Winter Showcase.
Ramsdale is a native of East Stroudsburg, Pa., and currently resides in Bloomsburg. He earned a masters’ degree in Strategic Communications in August of 2023 after receiving a bachelors’ degree in Communication/Journalism in May of 2022.
