Junior Andrew Holmes led the Huskies to a 4-1 week which included a mid-week victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday and a 3-1 conference weekend against Kutztown. Over the course of the five games, Holmes batted .500 (6-of-12) with a double, three home runs, and eight runs batted in. He also led the team with six runs scored. The home runs were his first three of the season and he entered the year with five RBI in his first 15 games. Holmes posted a slugging percentage of 1.333 and had an on-base percentage of .625 as he also drew four walks during the week. He went 2-for-3 with a grand slam home run against St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday and then belted home runs in the first game of each doubleheader on Friday and Saturday against Kutztown. His two-run home run on Saturday snapped a 3-3 tie. With his week, Holmes raised his season batting average 58 points - from .256 to .314.
