MANSFIELD--Maggey Bloskey (Danville, Danville) scored two goals and assisted on one other to lead the number one ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 5-2 win over Mansfield University on Saturday afternoon.
After Mansfield took the early lead in the game with a goal in the third minute the Huskies tied the game at the 6:08 mark on a goal by senior Erin Hench (Loysville, West Perry). The Huskies took the lead for good when Sandy Anceravage (Bloomsburg, Bloomsburg) scored in the 13th minute with Bloskey getting the assist.
Bloomsburg stretched the lead to 3-1 five minutes later when Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl, Pen Argyl) scored a goal, then made it 4-1 when Bloskey scored her first goal of the game with Amanda Riley (Tannersville, Pocono Mountain East) getting the assist in the 20th minute.
In the second half Mansfield made it 4-2 scoring on a penalty stroke before Bloskey closed out the scoring with a goal in the 64th minute.
Bloomsburg, 14-1, will play at East Stroudsburg on Friday at 4 p.m.
