PHILADELPHIA-Bloomsburg University defeated Chestnut Hill 2-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Wednesday night.
The Huskies (5-7-3) scored quickly when senior Eileen Alexander (East Northport, NY/Commack) (East Northport, NY/Commack) took a crossing pass in the box from Kelsey Stoka (Langhorne/Neshaminy) (Langhorne/Neshaminy) and put past the goalie to go up 1-0. The Bloomsburg offense kept the heat on Griffins throughout the entire game, totaling 25 shots on the night. 
Senior Kelly Modes (Langhorne/Neshaminy) (Langhorne/Neshaminy) would put the Huskies up by two when she scored off of a pass from freshman Lauren Stedman (Garnet Valley/Garnet Valley) (Garnet Valley/Garnet Valley) at the 66th minute. 
Sophomore Marissa McDowell (Gilbertsville/Spring-Ford) (Royersford/Spring Ford) went the entire way in goal for the Huskies, registering three saves.
The Huskies return to Sports Stadium this Saturday when they host Shippensburg at 1:00 p.m.
