Inside the Matchup
The two teams meet a week after their last meeting on Saturday, October 24. Both matches this season have been tightly contested, finishing as 1-0 decisions. Millersville got the better end of both results during the regular season. Bloomsburg has been one of the better sides this season at keeping the Marauders' attack in check, holding an attack averaging over two goals per contest and 15.1 shots to a total of two goals and 19 shots across the two meetings this season. The two teams are also meeting for the second consecutive season in the opening round after the Marauders earned a 2-1 victory at Steph Pettit Stadium last season. Saturday's PSAC Tournament contest will be the fifth all-time postseason meeting between the two sides.

Millersville is led by the efforts of PSAC leading goal scorer, Aubrey Strohecker. The senior forward has netted 22 goals this season, 16 in PSAC contests, Â and added two assists for a conference-leading 46 points. Strohecker ranks second nationally in goals scored and goals per game. Sara Edwards is second on the team with five goals and tied for the team lead with five assists. The senior did not appear in the two teams' last meeting. Ashlyn Calabria is tied with Edwards for the team lead with five assists. The forward also has two goals this season. Cheyenne Forte scored the match-winner for the Marauders last Saturday in the first few minutes of the second half. The forward has scored three times this season.

Matt Procopio is in his 11th season coaching Millersville. The former assistant is leading Millersville into its fifth PSAC Tournament under his tutelage. In his tenure, Procopio has an 85-70-27 overall record at Millersville with a 71-61-24 in the PSAC. Procopio guided the Marauders to their second-ever PSAC Tournament championship match appearance in 2021 and led Millersville to the tournament semifinals in 2018 and 2021. Procopio guided the Marauders to their first NCAA Tournament victory in program history and led the program to its winningest season in team history.

Haney's Handiwork
Head coach
Matt Haney is in his 12th season in charge of the Bloomsburg women's soccer program. As the fifth leader of the Huskies, Haney has continued the strong legacy his predecessors left behind. Haney enters Saturday with 130 victories, the second most in program history. The former assistant coach has led Bloomsburg to a PSAC Tournament berth in each of the last eight seasons, finishing as champion in 2018 and 2021. Haney's success also extends to NCAA Tournament appearances, taking the Huskies on their two deepest national runs in team history with back-to-back national quarterfinal appearances in 2018 and 2019. Bloomsburg has qualified for the NCAA Tournament in five of the last seven years.

As a talent developer, athletes under Haney's guidance as head coach have accumulated 37 All-PSAC nods, 37 all-region distinctions, and seven All-America honors. Haney received PSAC East Coach of the Year recognition in 2019 and has coached East Defensive Athlete of the Year recipients. Haney possesses a career record of 130-61-27 and is second in career winning percentage (.658). Through 11 seasons of competition, Haney has recorded at least eight wins in every campaign and has never finished with a losing record.

It Takes A Pack
Bloomsburg has taken a by-committee approach this season. All 38 players for the Huskies this season have at least appeared in one game, with 25 having earned a starting nod. 22 players on the roster have at least one point this season, including 19 different goal scorers and 13 with an assist. 15 players within the group have multiple goal contributions.

Bloomsburg is led in the attack by senior
Olivia Thompson (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts). Thompson leads the Huskies with four goals scored and 10 points in 2026, marking back-to-back campaigns hitting those figures.
Daryn Savage (Bensalem, Pa./Archbishop Wood) is joint second on the squad with seven points, highlighted by a team-best five assists and tacking on a goal. Savage leads Bloomsburg in assists this season after finishing as the team leader with five goals a year ago.
Lindsey Bull (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) (2 goals, 3 assists),
Anika Krasnai (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) (2 goals, 2 assists), and
Haley Bull (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) (2 goals, 2 assists) round out the group of players with multiple goals and assists this season. Four different players garnered PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week honors this season. That list includes L. Bull,
Izzy Hoffeditz (Mercersburg, Pa./James Buchanan), Savage, and
Cassi Snyder (Hegins, Pa./Tri-Valley).

Numbers to Watch
1 - Bearing the No. 1 shirt is a major responsibility for any goalkeeper, and Hoffeditz has risen to the occasion over the past several weeks. The third-year shotstopper for the Huskies, getting her first season of starting action, has settled into a strong rhythm and helped her team when called upon. Over the last 10 games, Hoffeditz has recorded at least four saves eight times, making at least seven stops in five contests. The goalkeeper's active role has given her team a fighting chance in several close contests, including a 2-1 win over now No. 4 Kutztown earlier in the season. Hoffeditz's reliable presence gives Bloomsburg a strong backbone heading into Saturday.

5 & 4 - A key to the Huskies' success on Saturday will be continuing to contain Strohecker in the final third. The forward has scored against every East side this season, but the senior's lone goal against Bloomsburg came from the penalty spot in the first meeting. The focal point of the Millersville attack has scored five goals against the East teams in the playoff field. The rest of the Marauders have found the back of the net four times. If the Huskies can replicate some of their prior success, they can find the opportunities to come away with a result on Saturday.
