SLIPPERY ROCK--Amanda Riley (Tannersville, Pocono Mountain East) scored twice and had one assist to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 6-0 win over Slippery Rock on Sunday afternoon.
Maggey Bloskey (Danville, Danville) put the Huskies on the board first with a goal 12 minutes in from a Riley assist. Bloomsburg made it 2-0 when Aime Sgarlat (Dallas, Lake Lehman) scored off a Lindsay Danz (Rehoboth Beach, DE, Sussex Technical) assist with six minutes to go before halftime. Less than two minutes later Riley scored her first goal with Julia Rush (Quakertown, Quakertown) getting the assist to make it a 3-0 game at the break.
In the second half, Riley made it 4-0 with her second goal with Bloskey getting the assist. The Huskies closed out the scoring with goals from Kara Stahl (Mifflinburg, Mifflinburg) and Alexis Weber (Bear, DE, William Penn).
Bloomsburg, now 6-1, held a 22-3 edge in shots on goal over Slippery Rock, 1-3 on the season. The Huskies host IUP on Saturday at noon.
