Women's Soccer Plays to 0-0 Tie with Charleston

CHARLESTON, WV—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team played to a 0-0, two overtime tie with the University of Charleston (WV) on Sunday afternoon.

The home team held a 6-3 edge in shots on goal in the opening 45 minutes before the Huskies came back and had a 7-3 edge in shots on goal. However both goalies were tough with the Huskies Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ, Haddonfield)making five saves in regulation, while Charleston's Catherine Perry had seven.

In the first overtime Bloomsburg's Lauren Stedman (Garnet Valley, Garnet Valley) had a shot on goal in the 98th minute, but Perry was able to make the save.

In the second overtime the Huskies had a 4-1 edge in shots, including a header in the final minute, but all shots were wide of the mark.

Bloomsburg goes to 9-2-3, while Charleston goes to 9-3-1 on the season. The Huskies host Mansfield in the final regular season home game on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
