Shiko led off game one with a solo shot for the Huskies, but Clarion quickly tied it with a run of its own in the bottom of the first. Shiko then went deep for a second time in the fourth, this time a two-run shot, to put the Huskies in front 3-1. Bloomsburg would tack on two more runs in the sixth inning with
Lacy Mauro (Jersey Shore, Jersey Shore) and
Emily Young (Nescopeck, Central Columbia) driving in runs and would get its sixth run in the seventh when
Mandy Leach (Milford, Delaware Valley) singled, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by
Shen DeBaro (Milton/Milton) .
Shavaun Fisher (Coplay, Allentown Central Catholic) went the distance to earn the win allowing just five hits, striking out 11 and walking just one.
In game two, the Huskies jumped out to a 5-0 lead after a half inning of play.
Mandy Koch (Dauphin, Central Dauphin) had an RBI single and
Jenna Hampton (Catawissa, Southern Columbia) a two-run homer for the Huskies who took advantage of two errors in the inning.
After Clarion got a run back in the bottom of the first, the Huskies made it 6-1 in the second on an RBI single by
Sam Pientack (Archbald, Valley View) then, made it 7-2 with a run in the third with
Neyhard (Bloomsburg, Central Columbia) picking up an RBI on a single.
Bloomsburg put the game away with three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to win 11-2.
Cait Paine (Lebanon, Lebanon) went the distance striking out three along the way.
The Huskies, now 23-3, 4-0 in the PSAC Central, host IUP on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
