BLOOMSBURG –Bloomsburg University women's tennis nearly blanked Millersville on Saturday, winning 8-1.
The Huskies jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after doubles play with
Laura Sullivan (Dingman's Ferry, Delaware Valley) and
Andrea Malatesta (Berwick, Berwick) winning at third doubles by a score of 8-1.
In singles action,
Kristen Bonito (Bridgewater, MA, Coyle Cassidy Memorial) fought through a tough three-set match, winning 6-2, 2-6, 10-6. Also winning was
Katie Hasyn (Lansdale, North Penn) at first singles, posting a score of 6-0, 6-1.
Bloomsburg takes to the courts again on Tuesday, traveling to Kutztown to take on the Golden Bears.
