WEST CHESTER—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team beat West Chester by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday in a battle for first place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division. 

Bloomsburg jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles with Katie Hasyn (Lansdale, North Penn) and Kristen Bonito (Bridgewater, MA, Coyle Cassidy Memorial) winning by an 8-3 score at number two. 

In singles play the Huskies picked up wins at one, three, five and six to secure the win. Hasyn was a winner at number one by a 6-2, 6-3 score, while Emily Palko (McMurray, Peters Township) won 6-1, 6-1, at number three. 

The Huskies, now 9-3, 3-0 in the PSAC East, host Dowling College on Friday at 5 p.m. West Chester falls to 12-4, 2-1 in the PSAC East with the loss.
