BLOOMSBURG- It was a challenging night for the Bloomsburg University men's soccer team as the squad took on Lock Haven University at Sports Stadium on Saturday night. The Huskies were unable to outdo the Eagles and the game ended in a 2-2 deadlock after nearly two hours of play.
Five minutes into the first half, the Eagles Greg Shertzer headed the ball over keeper freshman
Ramon Lobo Jr. (Dillsburg, Northern)'s challenge at the top of the box, giving Lock Haven a 1-0 lead. The remainder of the half was quiet, with the two teams only taking a combined seven shots.

The Huskies evened the score with less than 12 minutes left, as sophomore
Bryce Shaffer (Gettysburg, Gettysburg Area)hit the bottom corner of the net hard, from a pass by freshman
Michael Del Sordi (Scotch Plains, NJ, Scotch Plains-Fanwood).
Both teams made strong efforts in the overtime period to steal the win, but after both extra frames were complete, neither teams were able to come away with a winning goal, ending the match 2-2.
The Eagles Keeper Zach Hubler ended the game with four saves in net, while Lobo Jr. stopped six of the Eagles eight shots on goal.
Bloomsburg (2-2-1) travels to Millersville for its next game on Wednesday, September 22. Kickoff is at 5:30 pm. Lock Haven (2-3-2) will host Shippensburg on Friday, September 24.
