Alex Ruhfass (Newtown/Council Rock North) came off the bench to register three points on a late goal and an assist to lift the Huskies (4-6-1) past visiting Chestnut Hill College (5-7-1), 2-1. The Huskies trailed 1-0 at halftime but controlled the second half by outshooting the Griffins 12-2.
Both teams would have several scoring chances in the first half but only Chestnut Hill would convert on them as they scored the game's first goal in the 33rd minute. Chris Moore would set up the goal on a counter-attack as he quickly brought the ball out of the defensive end and sent a long pass up the middle of the field. From there, Gavin Reid one-touched the ball past approaching BU keeper

The Griffins would keep the Huskies at bay for the rest of the half as Bloomsburg fired off eight shots in the half, putting one on frame. Seton Hill took six shots in the half, only one making its way on net. Bloomsburg had four corner kicks in the half to Seton Hill's five.
Less than five minutes into the second half Bloomsburg would even the game at one a piece.
Alex Ruhfass (Newtown/Council Rock North) set up the goal when he ripped a shot that was deflected by the Chestnut Hill keeper.
Fran Miller (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) followed up on the shot and headed the loose ball past the scrambling keeper for a goal.
34 scoreless minutes would go by before the Huskies broke the tie as Ruhfass connected on a perfectly placed shot into the right upper corner, giving BU a 2-1 lead.
Nate Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro) was credited with the assist as he set up the play on a through ball pass in the middle of the box.
Bloomsburg held on to the one goal lead to win their fourth game of the season. BU goalie

The Huskies will look to make it two in a row as they travel to Shepherdstown, WV to take on Shepherd University on Thursday October, 13. Game-time is set for 3:00 p.m.
