BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team lost to Kutztown on Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-0 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match-up. With the loss the Huskies drop to 7-5-1 and 6-4-1 in the PSAC, while Kutztown improves to 11-3 and 9-2 in the conference.

The Golden Bears took the lead in the game in the sixth minute when BU goalkeeper Frances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield) game out of net to try and make the save and Maria Borland put the ball to the right side of the net.

The game remained at an even shot attempts at 5-5 going into the second half. The game would remain at 1-0 until the 81st minute when Crystal Zerbe scored off an assist from Sam Costello.

Overall Kutztown registered 10 shots to nine for the Huskies and held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.

Nicoletti made three saves on the day, while her counterpart had four.

Bloomsburg will return to action tomorrow, October 16 for a non-conference match-up against Charleston. Kick-off is scheduled for 12 pm.
