BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team (1-2, 1-0 PSAC EAst) earned their first win of the season as they defeated the Warriors of East Stroudsburg (1-5, 0-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East action.
The Huskies took two of three doubles matches to start the day off. At first singles
Michelle Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and
Emily Palko (McMurray/Peters Township) claimed an 8-3 win while
Natalie Greenholt (Hanover/South Western) and Nicole Slagel took their match by the same score at the third spot.
Bloomsburg would go on to sweep the singles matches, winning 72 of 87 games played. Perez, Palko, and Greenholt were all double winners on the day.

Danielle Walsh (Fairfield, CT/St. John The Baptist) only gave up three games at third and fourth singles while
Alyssa Liples (Swoyersville/Holy Redeemer) claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win at the six spot.
With the win Bloomsburg concludes a shortened fall season due to inclement weather conditions. The Huskies will hit the courts again in February as they take on Hofstra University.
