BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University's
Nate Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro) scored the games winning goal with less than six minutes left in the second half of a crucial men's soccer Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match-up, 2-1, over the Warriors of East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon.The win helped the Huskies advance to the PSAC playoffs and finish the regular season with an overall record of 7-8-1 and 4-4-1 in conference play. The Warriors fall to 5-8-4 overall and 3-4-2 in the PSAC play.
Both teams would have several scoring chances in the first half but only Bloomsburg would convert on them as they scored the games first goal with less than a minute left in the half.
Fran Miller (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) would set up the attack crossing the ball over from the left side to
Bryce Shaffer (Gettysburg/Gettysburg) in front of the right side of the net. Shaffer would send the ball to the back of the net off a bounce from Miller's pass, giving the Huskies a 1-0 lead.
In the second half it wasn't until the 83rd minute that the Warriors would put a goal on the boards, when Kevin Lombardo had a long pass to Nemanja Nikolic. Nikolic would tie up the game at 1-1 after sliding the ball into the goal off Lombardo's pass.
Less than a minute would go by before the Huskies broke the tie as Conrad was able to draw the Warrior's goalie Sean Murphy out of the net, hitting the back of the net for an unassisted game-winning goal.

Bernie Roell (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) stopped six shots in the win, while his counterpart had five on the day.
Bloomsburg will head to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) on Wednesday, November 2. The location and time of play for the Huskies is to be determined.
