MILLERSVILLE—The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team (7-9-2) lost a heartbreaker in the PSAC Championship game to the no. 2 seed Millersville University (12-6-1), 1-0. Today's championship game was Bloomsburg's third in program history, first since 1996. With the loss Millersville claims their first PSAC championship in program history.
The Marauders struck first at the 17:19 mark in the first half. After a free kick, Aaron Roland headed the ball to Pat Baffuto inside the box. From there Baffuto toed the ball into the net for the game's first goal.
Bloomsburg's defense settled in for the rest of the half, allowing six shots with none of them making their way on frame.
In the second half Bloomsburg got their offense going as they fired seven shots to Millersville's eight. Of Bloomsburg's seven shots, five made their way on net. Unfortunately for the Huskies, none beat the keeper for a game tying goal resulting in a 1-0 win for the Marauders.
