HILTON HEAD, SC--The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team lost to Tusculum University on Wednesday by a score of 5-4 in Hilton Head, SC.

Tusculum took two of the three doubles matches with Bloomsburg's lone win coming at number two where the team of Kristi Twardziak (Somerdale, NJ/Triton Regional ) and Danielle Walsh (Fairfield, CT/St. John The Baptist) posted a win by a score of 8-5.

In singles action the Huskies and the Pioneers split three matches to give Tusculum the win. Bloomsburg won at number one with Michelle Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) posting a 6-3, 6-2 win, while Emily Palko (McMurray/Peters Township) at number two scored a three-set win, 6-3, 3-6, 10-5. BU's other win came at four singles where Sarah Fisher (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) posted a 6-2, 6-3 win. The toughest match of the day belonged to Walsh at number three who dropped a 1-6, 7-6, 10-4 match.

Bloomsburg, now 5-3, is back in action on March 22 hosting Wilkes University.
