GAME ONE BOX SCORE

GAME TWO BOX SCORE

MANSFIELD—Shavaun Fisher (Coplay/Allentown Central Catholic) threw her second career no-hitter to lead the ninth-ranked Bloomsburg University softball team to a 9-0, five inning win over Mansfield in game one of a doubleheader on Friday.
In game two Lacy Mauro (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore) tied a school record with five hits and drove in the game winning run to lead the Huskies to a 6-5, 10-inning win over the Mountaineers.

The Huskies got off to a quick start with two runs in the first inning. Lacy Mauro (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore) singled to lead off the game and came around to score on Sam Pientack (Archbald/Valley View)'s two-run homer, her eighth of the season.

Bloomsburg made it 5-0 with three runs in the second. Lori Neyhard (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) walked to lead off the inning and went to third on a double by Jenna Hampton (Catawissa/Southern Columbia). Emily Young (Nescopeck/Central Columbia) hit a sacrifice fly scoring Neyhard with Hampton moving to third on the play. Raychelle Kuhns (Williamsport/Loyalsock) then followed with a single scoring Hampton. Kuhns would later score on a fielder's choice after the Huskies loaded the base.

The Huskies tacked on three more runs in the third. Neyahrd reached on a fielder's choice and moved to second when Hampton reached on an error. After an Emily Young (Nescopeck/Central Columbia) single loaded the bases, Kuhns singled scoring Neyhard. After a fielder's choice out at home, Danielle Lazorka (Williamsport/Jersey Shore) hit a two-run single scoring Young and Kuhns and making it an 8-0 game.

Neyahrd scored a ninth run when she came in on an error by Mansfield.

While the Huskies were piling up runs, Fisher was mowing down the Mountaineers. She fanned the first three that she faced and four of the first six. Fisher then ended the game striking out the final three batters of the game.

In game two Mansfield took the early 1-0 lead when Nicole Yost hit a solo homer leading off the second inning. The Huskies tied the score in the top of the fourth when Lori Neyahrd singled and later scored on a Hampton single.

Mansfield regained the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Yost walked and Chara Dixon singled to put runners on first and second. Danielle Long then tripled home both runners for a 3-1 lead.

The Huskies answered with three runs in the top of the fifth to take a 4-3 lead. Sam Pientack (Archbald/Valley View) had a RBI single with another run scoring on an error. Mandy Leach (Milford/Delaware Valley) brought home the third run of the inning with a sac fly.

The Mountaineers again didn't wait long to regain the lead getting a two-run homer from Kate Pratt. But the Huskies rallied once more in the sixth with Lacy Mauro (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore) hitting a solo homer, her ninth of the season.

In the seventh inning both teams left two runners stranded to send the game to extra innings. In the eighth and ninth innings both teams wasted scoring chances before the 10th inning heroics for Mauro.

In the 10th with pinch-runner Mandy Black starting at second base for the Huskies, Mauro singled to center scoring Black with the go-ahead run.

Mansfield also started the bottom of the 10th with a runner at second. Fisher, working in relief of Cait Paine (Lebanon/Lebanon), got a pop up and two strikeouts to seal the win for the Huskies.

Mauro's five hits tied a school record set twice before, once by Kate Denneny in 1986 and the other by Jen Lefever in 1994.

Bloomsburg goes to 27-5, 10-2 in the PSAC Central, with the wins. The Huskies will host IUP on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hutchinson Field.
