BLOOMSBURG--The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team beat West Chester on Saturday by a score of 7-2.

The Huskies led 2-1 after doubles play with the team od Danielle Walsh (Fairfield, CT/St. John The Baptist) and Kristi Twardziak (Somerdale, NJ/Triton Regional ) winning 8-3 at number two, while the team of Laura Sullivan (Dingman's Ferry/Delaware Valley) and Sarah Fisher (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) won 8-6 at number three.

Bloomsburg came out in singles play and dominated winning five of the six matches. Twardziak got the Huskies going with a 6-2, 6-3 win at number six singles, while Michelle Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh)'s win at number one, 6-2, 6-3, was the match clinching victory.

The Huskies also won three sets at number two with Emily Palko (McMurray/Peters Township) and number five with Danielle Walsh (Fairfield, CT/St. John The Baptist).

Bloomsburg is now 7-3 on the season and will play at Millersville on Monday at 3:00 p.m.
