BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team fell 1-0 to the Purple Knights of Bridgeport University on Tuesday night at Sports Stadium. With the loss Bloomsburg drops to 3-3 on the season, while the Purple Knights improved to 6-0.

It didn't take long for the Purple Knights to score the game's only goal just 9:28 into play, when Kasey Kenny dribbled the ball past goalkeeperFrances Nicoletti (Haddonfield, NJ, Haddonfield) and put the ball into the net.

The Huskies offense outshot the Purple Knights 14-11 including five shots fired from Tara Huber (Orefield, Parkland), but could not score. Nicoletti made four saves, while her counterpart Julia Hansson stopped nine of the Huskies shots.

Bloomsburg will look to bounce back as they travel to Shippensburg on Saturday for a PSAC matchup. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
