In the second half the Golden Eagles pushed the lead back to 10 points at 49-39 with 16:12 to play. But the Huskies would stage a rally of their own over the next 10 minutes.
Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) kick started a 26-5 run by draining a three-pointer. After a bucket by Clarion, Oxenrider and Gallagher hit back-to-back baskets before
Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 53-all.
After Clarion briefly took a one point lead after making one of two free throws, Wieller hit a jumper putting the Huskies on top for good. Bloomsburg then scored the next 10 points including a three-pointer from
Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) and ending with a free throw from Oxenrider with 6:20 to play giving the Huskies a 65-54 lead.
Clarion narrowed the gap to five points with a minute to play, but the Huskies hit three of four from the foul line in the final minute to win by seven.
Along with Oxenrider scoring 17, Gallagher added 15 and Noack 11 for Bloomsburg, now 11-3, 5-3 in the PSAC East. Wieller finished with nine points and the one record setting three-pointer. Clarion, 4-8, 3-5 in the PSAC West, got a game-high 23 points from Ann Deibert.
