Men's Soccer Team Falls to West Chester

WEST CHESTER—The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to West Chester on Saturday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play.

West Chester got on the board first in the 13th minute scoring on a corner kick. The Golden Rams then made it 2-0 in the 42nd minute to lead at the break.
 
In the second half the Huskies goalie Bernie Roell (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) came up with a save in the ninth minute of play to keep it 2-0. Then in the 58th minute Bloomsburg's Fran Miller (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) scored an unassisted goal to cut the lead in half. For Miller it was his team leading seventh goal and his 17th point of the year.
 
The score stayed 2-1 until the 86th minute when the Golden Rams got an insurance goal to make the final, 3-1.
 
Bloomsburg falls to 7-8-1, 2-5-1 in the PSAC, with the loss. The Huskies are back in action on Thursday, Oct. 25 hosting Goldey Beacom in the final regular season home game of the season.
