Women's Soccer Plays to 0-0 Tie on Saturday

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team played to a 0-0, 2 OT draw with Lock Haven on Saturday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup.
 
Bloomsburg held the advantage in the opening half of the game getting off seven shots to four for the Lady Eagles. In the second half of action Lock Haven posted seven shots with Huskies goalie Danielle Fiorelli (Warrington/Villa Joseph Marie) making four saves in the second 45-minute session. One of those saves came at 71:59 when Taylor Ludham had a good look, but Fiorelli kept the game scoreless. The Lock Haven defense kept the Huskies without a second half shot.
 
In the first overtime session Fiorelli again came up for Bloomsburg with a big save as she stopped a shot by Jamie Hunter that would have won the game for Lock Haven.
 
With the tie the Huskies go to 4-6-1, 2-5-1 in the PSAC, while Lock Haven goes to 5-3-3, 2-3-3 in the PSAC.
 
Bloomsburg plays at California (PA) on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
