HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC-- The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team (4-4) capped their 2012 spring break trip with a 5-3 win over Missouri Valley College.  Bloomsburg took five of six singles matches to pace the Huskies to their fourth win of the season. With the win, Bloomsburg finished their tour of South Carolina by winning three of four matches.


Michelle Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) rallied from a set down to pick up a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 win at first singles.  With the win Perez concluded the Hilton Head trip with a perfect 7-0 record in singles and doubles play. 

At second singles Palko earned a decisive straight set victory, 6-2, 6-0.  Danielle Walsh (Fairfield, CT/St. John The Baptist) was also a winner at third singles, needing three sets to better her opponent 6-2, 2-6, 10-8.

Natalie Greenholt (Hanover/South Western) came back from a set down to give the Huskies another singles victory at the fourth spot.  After dropping the first set 3-6, Greenholt came back to win the second in a tie-breaker 7-6 (7-5) and followed it with an 11-9 win in the third. 

Bloomsburg's final singles point came at the sixth spot where Erin Reitenauer (Whitehall/Whitehall) earned a win in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. 

The Huskies will be back on the courts on Tuesday, March 20th as they return to Bloomsburg to face Wilkes.  Match-time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Bloomsburg, PA.
