BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team dropped a 5-3 decision to the University of Charleston in day one of the BU Duals.
In doubles action Bloomsburg's
Michelle Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) and
Emily Palko (McMurray/Peters Township) extended their win streak to 11 matches as they produced an 8-4 win at the first position. However, Bloomsburg would fall at the second and third positions as BU entered singles play trailing, 2-1.
Charleston jumped out a 4-1 lead as they earned singles wins at the fourth and fifth positions.
Danielle Walsh (Fairfield, CT/St. John The Baptist) made it 4-2 as she tallied a 6-3, 7-5 win at the third spot and Perez made it 4-3 by winning in straight sets at first singles, 6-2, 6-4.
