BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team ended the 2011-12 season with a 6-3 loss to Bucknell University. With the loss Bloomsburg concludes the year with an 11-9, 6-0 PSAC East record.
The first doubles team of
Emily Palko (McMurray/Peters Township) and
Michelle Perez (Center Valley/Southern Lehigh) picked up Bloomsburg's only doubles point of the afternoon with an 8-3 win. The duo finished the year with a 14-4 mark at the first position.
In singles action, Bloomsburg picked up wins at third and sixth singles.
Danielle Walsh (Fairfield, CT/St. John The Baptist) pulled out a three set thriller, winning 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 10-7 at the third position. With the win, Walsh improves to 11-6 in her final season with the Huskies.

Erin Reitenauer (Whitehall/Whitehall) earned Bloomsburg's other singles point. She was a straight set winner against Elizabeth Morgan at sixth singles, 6-2, 7-6 (7-0).
